The Rolling Acres Intimate Wedding

Girl marries the boy next door. I’ll start at the beginning…

Over the years Rachel noticed a very handsome man that would walk his dog past her house every day. She later realized that he lived in the house one door down from her. For a whole year she watched this beautiful man and couldn’t get over how drawn she was to him without ever meeting him.

Rachel had recently gotten out of a toxic relationship and decided to give Tinder a try. They matched up and then Chris reached out. Through their conversation Chris mentioned that they were neighbours and Rachel immediately ran upstairs to tell her mom that the handsome mystery man from next door was messaging her!

A couple days later, Rachel was getting into her car ready to head out and heard a knock on her trunk - it was him. Wanting to throw up, Rach got out of her car to finally see her mystery man up close. He was everything she could have dreamed and she was even more beautiful than he could have imagined.

Fast forward to 2020. Rachel and Chris were slowly planning their perfect day. Until one day during the Covid Quarantine her Grandpa (the father figure in her life) was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer. They decided to kick their wedding planning into high gear as Rachel couldn’t picture getting married without her grandpa there to walk her down the aisle. This was no easy task since the whole world was shut down. Luckily, Rachel has a friend that owns a Bridal Store (Joy Bridal Boutique) and asked her for all the dresses that would fit her off the rack. Rach had 10 dresses to pick from and ended up finding the dress! Chris, called about 15 suit stores and none of the were allowing him to come in and even look, let alone get fitted. Luckily, he came across a store in Markham that heard our story and let him come in that weekend - Chris found his dream suit!

These two are the epitome of what it means to make lemonade out of lemons and their wedding day ended up being one of the most intimate and heart-filled days that I’ve had the pleasure of documenting. Thank you so much again, Rachel and Chris, for always trusting me to document your love. You two are so amazing!
